If you are going to spend the time and energy planning a party, you want to be sure that your guests have an amazing time. One quick Google search will tell you that there is a lot to think about, which might feel overwhelming. But don’t worry! All you need to do is hit the mark on a couple of party planning elements to ensure that fun times are had by all.

Pick a venue that suits your party. You don’t want a huge space for only 10 people and likewise you won’t want to pack 100 people into a space meant for 50. You also want to make sure the layout is a good fit. For instance, if you are planning on doing lots of dancing, having an established dance floor can be very beneficial so you don’t have to find a vendor to supply one. It may sound silly, but also make sure the bathrooms are in a suitable location and that there are enough bathrooms to accommodate all your guests.

Location, location, location. Are guests going to be flying in for the event? Then you might want your venue located within easy traveling distance of the airport. If people are driving to the party, try to pick a central location that is convenient for them to travel to like Banquet Hall. The venue should also be able to provide enough parking for all your guests. If you really like the site and there isn’t enough parking, consider using a ride service or arranging transportation from another parking area to your event.

Decide how you will provide food. Most every party has food of some sort. Are you trying to save money? You can create your own menu and bring food to serve at the party. To make things easier, you can break up the menu and ask friends and family to bring certain dishes. However, if you have the budget for it, using a vendor to provide food can have a lot of benefits. They can take care of prep and clean up, prepare food on site so that it is warm and fresh, and save you a lot of time and stress.

Set the mood with music. Regardless of what kind of party you are hosting, music can help set the mood. Visiting the venue ahead of time can help you understand the acoustics. If people are going to give speeches, make sure that the microphone can reach the place they will be delivering it. Will people be able to hear from the back? Does the venue have a speaker system or will you need to bring your own speakers? Try to select music that fits with the theme of the party.
